The solution was supposed to support HL7’s lab order and lab result messages and generating message level acknowledgments message.

One of our EMR clients approached us to set up a bidirectional interface from their EMR with Quest Diagnostics. They wanted to send HL7 lab orders to Quest & in return receive HL7 results message. The lab order was supposed to contain a single lab order as well as orders with panels. This case study describes the successful implementation of a solution to meet this requirement.
