Measurement and Analysis process describes what to do for establishing and maintaining an organization-wide measurement program. Measurement and analysis include identifying and defining organization information needs and measurement objectives; defining measures for projects and other support departments and procedures of data collecting, storing and analyzing metrics; and reporting and interpreting the results in a manner that can facilitate better project management and process improvement.

Measurement and Analysis process also covers the planning and execution of measurement and analysis activities at project and organization levels.
